What is the Fairtax?

rally3The FairTax is a proposal laid out in The FairTax Act (HR 25, S 1025) that would replace all federal income taxes with a single national retail sales tax.  The tax would be levied on all new goods and services for personal consumption at the point of sale. The rate would be set at 23%.

Taxes eliminated include all federal personal and corporate income taxes, gift, estate, capital gains, alternative minimum, Social Security, Medicare, and self-employment taxes and replaces them with one simple, visible, federal retail sales tax  administered primarily by existing state sales tax authorities.

Support the Grassroots Freedom Ride

The Grass Roots Freedom Ride is a national fund raiser to provide support for local grass rootsFairTax groups.  These groups are all self funding, with each group’s supporters financing all promotional items, as well as their time and talent without financial compensation. Their goal, as well as our own, is primarily educational.

biketest1Make a pledge for each mile the FairTax Bike covers at a minimum of 1 penny per mile. The entire national ride will cover 15000 miles. Your pledge for 1 penny per mile for the whole trip is only $150 that will fund grass roots groups throughout the USA. Pledges can also be made for a quadrant of the ride that will be 3750 miles ($37.50). Read more at the OFFICIAL SITE.
