Linder Announces Retirement: We Lose A FairTax Crusader
U.S. Rep. John Linder is the man behind the House version of the FairTax Act (HR 25), and the co-author, along with Neal Boortz, of two best selling FairTax books. Let’s hope the folks in Gwinnett County can fill this seat with someone that can continue the crusade.

How to Contact Your Representative
Well, there are several ways to contact your representative, that is for sure. One way would be to head over to our NC Leader’s Scorecard and visit their sites and email them.
Another way would be to use the ‘Write Your Representative‘ webpage section on the U.S. Congress site. While there you can select your location and email your representative right from the site. They make it almost too easy.
One thing is for sure, they need to hear your voice on the important issues including the passing of HR 25, S 1025, the FairTax Bill.
Don’t be quiet!
FairTax, The Time Is Now! Trailer For ‘An Inconvenient Tax’
Check out the trailer for the upcoming movie An Inconvenient Tax. Share it with others and spread the news. The time for the FairTax is here!
The tide is turning. People want a change. Not the promised ‘CHANGE’ from our current administration, but a change back to what made this nation great. A change back to constitutional principles. A change to a smaller government that is answerable to the people. A change back to personal liberties, and the personal responsibility that goes along with it.
The FairTax is more important than ever. It gives power back to the people to make decisions with their livelihoods. It stalls the Washington power grab by negating the power of lobbies and special interests. (Hey, wasn’t that supposed to be on the new administrations agenda? Guess they forgot.)
It makes taxation fair in that everyone pays when they make purchasing decisions., This means everyone, even the 40% that currently do not pay taxes and those visiting our country legally and illegally.
The FairTax just makes sense!
The thing is, thanks to the MSM (Mainstream media) most folks have not heard about the FairTax. Or, worse, if they have, they have only gotten the negative spin which is usually based on half-truths or outright lies by FairTax opponents.
Pass this trailer around. Talk up the FairTax to those you know. The time is now for a real direction shift and the nation is ripe for The FairTax.
Enjoy the trailer.

Asheville’s Own FairTax Loving Food Joint
Although owner Mike McLean admits that most political coffeehouses lean left, he felt the salon model would work just as well for right-of-center sentiments, as his newly opened Horse Shoe restaurant proves.
In addition to having a lengthy menu, the Grass Roots Café has an agenda: “We’re actively involved in the FairTax Movement,” explains McLean, who opened the eatery with his wife Carol and son Matt. “We have plenty of information here if someone’s interested in tax reform.”
While the McLeans are legally bound to collect and pay taxes at their restaurant, their aggravation with the system surfaces on the menu, on which every item’s price is listed with and without tax.
“We believe very much in the visibility of tax,” says McLean, who has long organized motorcycle rides to publicize the FairTax, an initiative that would replace all federal income taxes with a national retail-sales tax.

Speech from Jessica Wexler
Hello, I am Jessica Wexler. I am a strong supporter of the FairTax. I have volunteered with FairTax KC for the past year and written an organizing manual to be used by Fair tax supporters across the country. So there is no confusion, I am a Democrat. I have worked 20 hour days, 7 days a week, for months at a time. I have slept on office floors with blankets pulled from the trunk of volunteers’ cars. During Senator McCaskill’s campaign, I learned the benefit of a union hall with showers, even if they were behind a door marked Men’s. On Novemeber 4th while polls were closing and parties were starting. I was still at President Obama’s Raytown office, working to insure every vote was counted. I have organized teachers in New Orleans and registered voters through Rock the Vote. I have been in favor of the FairTax for several years. Ever since my uncle, for those of you who don’t know him, he is the FairTax KC Geezer, gave me a small paperback book to read. My uncle and I disagree on all the major hot button issues from abortion to gun rights, social security to the death penalty. To sum it up we disagree on how the government should spend our tax dollars. We are in complete agreement on how the government should collect those tax dollars. The FairTax!
I am here to speak about why I, a democrat, support the FairTax. Why other Democrats must support the FairTax. And why it is crucial that the FairTax is a nonpartisan issue both on a local and national scale.
My top 3 reasons for supporting the FairTax are it will increase jobs, widen our tax base, and gives me control over the money I earn.
Life With the FairTax

Come and dream with me for a minute.
April 15th has come and passed and I didn’t file a tax return this year. The Fair Tax legislation has passed and the IRS and the 16th amendment to the US Constitution that imposes income tax deductions on employees and employers has been abolished for about a year now. I don’t worry about April 15th anymore. Filing tax returns and worrying about the IRS is a relic of the past. My life has changed since the FairTax legislation was enacted.
The first things that I noticed about the Fair Tax plan were the cash register receipts. The prices of products dropped about 20-25%, but there was a national sales tax listed along with the state and local sales taxes. We are still paying the same thing we always have, but now it includes the new national sales tax. With the old tax plan the cost of employment taxes were hidden in the cost of the product, the Fair Tax brings it out into the open.
