John Pierce, State Director For North Carolina Fairtax
Two events shaped my FairTax involvement and both happened in 2007. I went to the rally in Columbia,SC and I went to a training session in Greenville, SC. Columbia gave me enthusiasm and John Steinberger at the training session gave me a job as well as confidence. I have been the NC State Director since that training session..
I still work for a living, self employed plus spend a lot of time with my family. Wife, Three grown kids, two sons in law and fivegrandchildren.
It is a busy schedule but family and FairTax are really important.
I say events like the uncontrolled spending by the government shaped my FairTax involvement plus the mounting frustration of filing my own taxes for 40 years shaped my desire for a fair and simple tax system.

I am a web designer, media producer, Pirate, anarchist libertarian (paleo if you will), and a Christian.
I produce the Reaching for Lucidity 2.0 web radio show and the RfL Animated Adventures for Mevio Inc.
I am married to Effy since 1989 and we have two dogs, Pepper the Pomchi and Elway the magnificent Beagle/German Sheppherd mix. We live in Raleigh, North Carolina.
